Coffee makers for camping, to make coffee on your wilderness vacation you need the right method of coffee brewing. Camping is a huge pastime for many people across the world. Camping is a wonderful relaxing thing to just get yourself in touch with nature and spend a few days in the woods or the desert enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.

You can fish, swim, BBQ, or just relax and do absolutely nothing. But just because you’re out in the woods in the middle of nowhere doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a great cup of coffee. There are many different ways to brew a pot of coffee while on your camping adventures.

There are other kinds of coffee makers you place on a portable stove or on ashes to boil the water. For the added convenience for campers there are some automatic coffee makers designed for campers. These automatic drip coffee makers require a camp stove and are very large and are not designed for the camper who will hike many miles in to their camping sites. 

What is the best method of coffee making for your camping trips?

The manual drip coffee maker is the best method designed for camping. The manual coffee drip makers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They are designed to withstand the heat from your campfires. The stainless-steel or other fire-resistant metal manual drip coffee makers have everything built in for coffee making while camping.  

These coffee makers look like one coffee pot upside down on top of the other. Place your ground coffee in a filter in the middle of the coffee maker and the water on the bottom. Set the manual drip coffee maker on top of the fire until you see steam. Turn the unit over and place it somewhere cool. When you flip the unit, it allows the water to pass through the coffee grounds resulting in freshly brewed coffee. 

The second-best method is the filter holder method which works great. If you don’t need a large amount of coffee and don’t want to lug around a bunch of equipment this a great method to brew your favorite cup of coffee while camping.

When using this method just place the filter in the holder. Fill it with ground coffee, set it over your cup, and pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds. Bang and there you have your wonderful cup of coffee while camping.
