Research and consider another model until DeLonghi updates firmware to fix the coffeepot. Bought back in June 2016 but didn’t start using until July 2016, so about 6 months. I like the concept of this coffeemaker and the coffee itself while it worked. The expresso side worked like a champ. This was mostly due to the simple fact that that side of the maker was more mechanical than electronic. This machine suffered the same fate that others experienced–firmware is buggy. The coffeemaker electronics, not the mechanical expresso maker side, would start the act up almost everyday since I opened from the package. The clock would turn off, the lights would start blinking at random times, the machine would turn off and on without any programming, the numbers would fade away, the timers wouldn’t reset, the clock wouldn’t stay on or keep time, when you pressed the button the lights would turn on then immediately off. All the troubleshooting procedures outlined in the manual and on the web yielded no fixed results. Contacted the manufacturer to get it repaired but was only…
