Best Coffee Dripper Out There, but follow 3 important steps I have had the Hario Size 3 for three years and it holds size four filters nicely. This is the finest glass coffee dripper I have ever used. However, the exit hole at the bottom of the glass dripper is a full 3/4 inch hole so the coffee exits quickly. To brew the best cup of Joe with the Hario you must follow a few important steps and you will have the best cup of coffee you ever had. I use the tried and true method of Nick Cho the “Coffee Scientist”. First, you MUST use a finer grind, like sugar, and then you must ‘Wet the coffee”. You see, when you introduce the coffee grounds to the hot water, the trapped CO2 in the ground bean must be able to escape and bubble out. The problem is that if carbon dioxide gas is going out, water isn’t able to get in. So you must “Bloom” the coffee. As you start your pouring the water over the ground beans, you’ll want to add just enough brewing water to wet all of the grounds and then stop pouring. Let the coffee absorb that…

Nice, but buy the 02 for greater flexibility and room for brewing

Better than Chemex, Katlia Wave and Aeopress
