Good machine – once you call and get a free replacement part. This is our second Bunn coffeemaker and we’re pleased with it. But if you’re planning on buying it, here’s a couple of important things to be aware of:1. In the manual, there’s a phone number to call to order a free “flow restrictor” piece that you swap out on the spray head. Do this, it’s very important.First of all, the stock machine wastes coffee and requires the taller Bunn filters. The coffee comes out really fast, but it pushes a lot of the grounds up against the wall of the filter, making for weaker coffee and requiring taller filters – which isn’t necessarily bad but they’re not as readily available as regular filters. If you just drink regular, coarse ground coffee you may not care. But if you really want to get the full flavor out of your coffee, like we do, then changing out the spray head takes care of that. It makes the brew time slightly longer, but a negligible amount. The difference in flavor and the ability to use regular filters makes…

I found the negative reviews funny after I got mine and used it for awhile I did a lot of searching before buying the Bunn and read all the reviews on Amazon. I found the negative reviewsfunny after I got mine and used it for awhile. The first negative was about how noisy it is. I remember as a kid the sound of the old percolator pot telling us the coffee was about ready. I’m a little off track here but I’m comparing the sound of the old coffee maker to the Bunn. The sound is very little louder than the percolator style, I just don’tknow why they would find it disturbing. Some people complained because it didn’t have a timer, they should have bought one with a timer if that was a problem. I don’t drink coffee throughout the day so I bought a ten dollar timer from Ebay. I know that adds ten dollars to the cost of the Bunn but that wasn’t a problem for for me. I bought the cheapest model because apperiance is not important. I understand the inside parts are all the same on all themodels, the outside is cosmetic to please peoples difference…

Coffee all over counter top “Fixed” I can’t believe I am writing this review. I have owned these coffee makers for years and always LOVED them. The new model and my last model had issues with overflowing the coffee filter and going all over the counter top. If these need another part to restrict the flow, they should come with the option already attached to the unit. The new unit is continuously dumping coffee and water and grinds on counter top. Problem becomes worse when giving these for gifts and they have the same problems with no solution. We are trying to resolve but if I get the “fix” I will have to send the fix to those that I have gifted them. Yes, we have always used the BUNN filters and have reduced the coffee level to such a degree that the coffee is so weak it’s a poor cup of coffee. I am looking for a solution through BUNN and will write a follow up review if “fixed”.Well I wrote to the company and they did send me a low flow nozzle. Yes it did work and the coffee maker…
